OMG! Sixteen months have passed, since officially opening the site with the VMars layout. Here's the third official layout, featuring my favourite movie: Pride & Prejudice. With the new layout comes a cleanup of the site. Affiliates have been cleaned, nonfunctioning sites removed, while non-affiliated sites have been moved to the art sites page. Colourblind was a 'back to roots' attempt. Winter holidays are pretty much over and back to university soon. Thus, updates will come less often as I will most likely be making less artwork during that time. So to the art. 4 wallpapers. 'Like a moth to a flame' was an entry to the sd-1 July challenge, the first challenge that I've entered in a long time...the themes just don't inspire me anymore, but this one is a great challenge - feel free to enter it. 6 sketch/drawings done on the weekend. Normally my skill follows momentum and since my drawings are done in batches, some batches turn out better than others. The last batch was quite ordinary, but I'm pleased with this batch of drawings. Also, very pleased to do the Notebook proud with not stuffing up the MTV Best Kiss Scene of Noah and Allie. Gambit & Cyclops was originally drawn by Jim Lee.

Just a quick update. Amongst the busy uni schedule, I've managed to update and have 2 new art pieces. Also, I won two awards recently for my fanart. 1st award is from MyCheekyCheeks for the 'blend of the month' challenge. My first Jesse McCartney piece won gold. Seeing it wasn't the actual blend of the month, I think gold is the equivalent of 2nd place. My second award was won at AllAlias for the Official March challenge. The theme was 'Building a Mystery' and my piece titled Under The Gun won 1st place. The fact that some of the best artists didn't participate that month did help my accomplishment - but it was a piece that I was quite proud of.

Mini-Hiatus over. Lots of new art as always.

Not only is it mid-semester break, but without the net for two weeks, what else is there to do on the computer but make new artwork. First piece is a Ryan Gosling collage titled Addicted To You using Simple Plan lyrics. Second piece is Armageddon, featuring Ben Affleck and Leaving on a JetPlane lyrics. Third piece is a brushed up Ewan McGregor piece, featuring Santana lyrics. Fourth piece pays tribute to Ben Hudson, ruckman of the Adelaide Crows, who was injured late last year with an ACL (knee reconstruction) and is out for 12months. Anyway, he's one of my favourite players. Fifth piece is Jessica Alba. Unlike the first four pieces, I'm actually quite pleased with this one. It's my current desktop as well. Sixth piece was a quick one made one late night - Hayden Christensen. Not a fan of his acting, but he looks good and makes a good art subject. Lyrics are from Youth Group and you may notice one of the pictures from Alias. Therefore, I'm quite happy with the final product. Lastly, 14 new icons - 13 from Lost (mostly Boone) and 1 icon of Howie Day. Please let me know what you think of my art at the tagboard.

One new S/V wallpaper to Fairy Tale lyrics by Michael Kong Leung. The only other update is a new section under artwork, titled icons. So new icons include all 155 of them, under the subheadings: alias, veronica mars, prison break, actors/actress' and the notebook. The Notebook section holds 107 icons made in a single day. Taking up to 6 hours. I know, it was a Friday afternoon and I had a 3 day weekend coming up. If you would like to use any of my icons, please credit me: 'doppelganger47' or 'xinyi'. This is a quick update, due to the fact that I have some new art pieces. The first one is a Coldplay piece. It began very grungy and black/white. The second version of this wallpaper is exactly the same minus the grungy borders. The Logan & Veronica piece began as a quick wallpaper using some of the same pictures as this new layout, but obviously it didn't turn out anything like I expected. Nethertheless, it took up a bit of my time and though not completely satisfied with it, I uploaded it anyway. Another recent piece is a Jesse McCartney wallpaper, which I am happy with. Most recent are three Howie Day wallpapers and a Jake Gyllenhaal wallpaper. All of these new wallpapers were inspired by the discovery of some awesome brushes at Imagination and Ancient Secrets, thus the heavy brushwork in all my latest pieces. If you like to use any of my wallpapers, please save them to your computer and a simple thank you at the tagboard would be appreciated.
